Zamfara: Residents flee as bandits attack ten communities in one week



No fewer than ten communities in Zurmi Native Authorities Space of Zamfara State have been attacked by armed bandits inside per week.

The names of the villages affected got as Yanbuki, Bindin, Kadamutsa, Gidan Zago, Marmaro, Dada, Maduba, Kacha, Huhu, Dangasamu, Hushin Dusti.

In response to some members of the affected communities, many villagers have been pressured to abandon their properties as a result of worry of fixed assaults.

A villager informed our correspondent that many individuals have already fled from the areas to locations the place they really feel they might be safer like Kaura Namoda city, Zurmi city and Gusau the state capital.

When contacted, Zamfara Police Command’s spokesman, SP Mohammed Shehu confirmed the incident, saying that armed policemen have been deployed by the Police Commissioner to proceed with the patrol and surveillance of the affected areas.
