Your self-esteem issues have nothing to do with Nigerians” – Yvonne Jegede calls out Ugandans
Popular Nigerian actress, Yvonne Jegede has called out Ugandans about their perception of Nigerians after the arrest of singers, Omah Lay, and Terms.
Recall that the Nigerian singers were arrested in Uganda for violating COVID-19 protocols by performing at a crowded concert, a concert Bebe Cool had earlier ranted about on Facebook.
Their arrest triggered mixed reactions on social media, as some Ugandans seized the opportunity to slam Nigerians in their country.
Reacting to the comments, Yvonne Jegede shared her experience of working on a movie set in Uganda.
The actress who recalled being labeled proud after she said she doesn’t know any Ugandan artiste, stated that their self-esteem issues have nothing to do with Nigerians.
I was in #Uganda in 2013 to shoot a film, after every sentence came “you Nigerians are very proud”, even when I said I didn’t know any Ugandan artist I was labeled proud. I am proud of where I come from, your self-esteem issues have nothing to with Nigerians
