The federal government of Akwa Ibom State is totally conscious that there’s a exceptional proportion of Muslim inhabitants made up of each indigenes and non-indigenes within the state. The kids of those Muslims are in Akwa Ibom colleges.

“The truth that the state’s Ministry of Training ignored these individuals and insisted on persevering with examinations on Salah days show that it’s not ready to coexist with some other faith. Additionally it is impunity of the best order for the state authorities to disregard the declaration of right this moment and tomorrow by the Federal Authorities as public holidays and to insist on holding examinations on public holidays. That is Bohemian, boastful, insensitive and illiberal.

“We strongly condemn the state authorities’s resolution to carry examinations throughout a Muslim competition and on a public vacation. We marvel what the reactions and feedback shall be if a core Northern state ought to do one thing related on Christmas Day.”
