Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State said he and other governors were “handcuffed” to the security of lives and public property in their states.
The governor was speaking on Politics Today on Channels TV this afternoon, saying they did not have much power.
“My hand is tied. My hand is tied. Many governors are handcuffed. We are called chief security officers by name but we have no control over big things … almost no way we can,” he said.
El-Rifai, who is currently in Dubai, continued: “We [the governors] have told the president and his vice president … military operations are being carried out but they have to be attacked, and then they are working.”
May God protect those who died. We pray to God that every leader has no compassion for the poor. In his heart, may God heal us. May God help the leaders who know the poor. Finally, we pray to God to keep our country safe.
