The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has elected a Ghanaian professor, Ato Essuman as its twentieth chairman.
The election befell through the 69th assembly of Council held nearly from March 22-26.
An announcement by the Head of Public Affairs, WAEC, Mr. Abiodun Adukoju, famous that Essuman takes over from Mr. Baboucarr Bouy from the Gambia for a tenure of three years.
The highest three performers out of two,122,844 within the 2020 West African Senior College Certificates Examination (WASSCE) west African area have been additionally honoured through the assembly.
The trio, all from Ghana, is- Grasp Cecil Tetteh Kumah (first); Grasp Godfred Aseda Obeng (second); and Miss Afua Manukure Ansah.
