TRUMP Red-faced Pelosi smashed table after failed impeachment trial The Senate impeachment trial of former US President, Donald Trump, over his alleged role in the January 6th riot at the US Capitol, has ended in victory to the angst of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The House of Representatives led by Pelosi, had for the second time, impeached Trump, and had hoped he’d be the first US President to ever be convicted and barred from contesting in future elections. But, it all ended in failure following Trump’s acquittal.

This certainly did not go down well with Pelosi who reportedly slammed a table several times in fury following the end of the impeachment trial.

TRUMP Red-faced Pelosi who called Republican senators who voted to acquit Trump, ‘cowards’, said she’s not interested in censuring Trump after the Senate’s failure for a second time, to convict the former president.

She implied that censuring Trump would be similar to giving “a little slap on the wrist.”

“We censure people for using stationaries for the wrong purpose. You don’t censure people for inciting insurrection that kills people in the Capitol,” she added.

Pelosi made the remarks during a surprise visit to the House impeachment managers during a press conference after the Senate acquitted the former president.

The Senate voted to acquit Trump in a 57:43 vote.
