The United States Of America (US) 2020 Presidential election has come and gone, on the other hand, won and lost, but what’s it leave behind seems not to end very soon as the Republican nominee, Donald J Trump has refused to concede defeat and congratulate the winner in person of Democrat nominee, Mr. Joe Biden and his running mate Senator Kamala Harris
As Trump continued to push ahead with legal challenges to his election defeat as top Republicans in the US Congress refused to recognize Democrat Joe Biden as President-elect.
Biden was projected as the winner of the presidential election by US media on Saturday, after surpassing the 280 electoral votes required to win.
Trump’s campaign has filed at least 17 lawsuits in various state and federal courts. Most make similar claims that have not been proven to have affected any votes, including allegations that Trump election observers didn’t have the access they sought or that mail-in ballots were fraudulently cast. Associated Press (AP) reported.
However, a barrage of lawsuits and investigations led by Republican Trump’s campaign and allies has not come close to proving a multi-state failure that would call into question his loss to President-elect Joe Biden.
