Troops arrest ex-police officer, partner with 320 blocks of weed




Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) in Plateau State apprehended two Nigerians with 320 blocks of hashish.

The weed was hid in a Toyota Camry with registration quantity Abuja ABC 214 HV, Main Ishaku Takwa, Navy Data Officer stated.

In a press release on Sunday, Takwa named the suspects as Patrick Kalu, a retired police officer, 60; and Friday Kalu, 40.

They have been nabbed throughout a stop-and-search operation at Manchok Riom street.

The companions revealed that they have been contracted to convey the illicit substance, price N9.5million, from Ondo to Yola, the Adamawa capital.

A police identification card, two Nokia telephones and two wallets containing N16,100 and N2,940 have been additionally recovered.

The suspects are actually with the Nationwide Drug Regulation Enforcement Company (NDLEA) Command in Plateau.
