Three Soldiers Killed As Ibrahim Babangida’s Son, Family Were Involved In Auto Crash

Three troopers died on Monday whereas one was critically injured after the convoy of Mohammed Babangida, son of former navy Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (retd), had an accident on the Minna-Suleja Freeway in Niger State.

SaharaReporters learnt that Mohammed, who was travelling together with his household to Abuja, narrowly escaped dying as his convoy bumped into an articulated automobile loaded with tomatoes alongside the Minna-Suleja Highway.



It was gathered that the troopers died within the accident after their black Prado SUV had a head-on collision with the articulated automobile travelling in the wrong way.

Eyewitnesses stated Mohammed Babangida was travelling to Abuja in a Honda House bus with different members of his household behind the safety automobile.

“Three troopers died and one was left critically injured because the convoy of Mohammed Babangida, the son of the previous navy Head of State was concerned within the accident. He was travelling to Abuja in a Honda House bus with different members of his household behind the safety automobile.

“No member of the Babangida household was damage within the accident. The injured soldier is at present receiving therapy on the Nationwide Hospital in Abuja,” an eyewitness advised SaharaReporters.

The Niger State Police Command couldn’t be reached for remark as of the time of submitting this report.
