Three Nigerian nationals have been arrested for allegedly peddling medicine in Naigaon, Mumbai, police in India stated on Monday.
Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar Police Commissionerate’s (MBVV) Anti Narcotic Cell made the arrests and seized from them.
1,126 grammes of Ketamine and MD medicine with a avenue worth of over Rs 10 lakh (about N5. 5 million) had been seized from them, Mid-Day experiences.
Police made the arrests based mostly on a tip-off that medicine had been being smuggled within the Naigaon space, after which the staff of Anti-Narcotics Cell raided and arrested the accused with medicine.
A case was registered towards the accused below the Narcotic Medicine and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Valeev police station. Additional investigation is underway.
