Sister Maggi whose real name is Uche Nwakuche Eduzor is a Nigerian actress born on July 10 in Onitsha, Anambra State. She originally hails from Ihitte/Uboma in Imo state.

Uche grew up in Enugu where she had her primary education at St Theresa’s Primary School.

She had her secondary education at Abia State where she attended Marist Comprehensive Academy.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree at the University of Nigeria, Nigeria (UNN) where she studied Theatre Arts, and her master’s degree at Lagos State University (LASU) in Mass Communication.

She is from a family full of teachers as her father is a lecturer while her mother, a headteacher.

Career

Uche Nwakuche joined the Nigerian movie industry in 2007.

She came through with her first role in the movie “Corporate Beggars” and came to the limelight for her role in an indigenous movie titled “Ikonso”. She got her nicknamed from the movie where her colleagues in the industry and fans began to call her ‘Sister Maggi’.

She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rufina Entertainment. About her career, here’s what she said:

“My career ambition is to diversify and go global in different areas of the movie industry. Yes, directing and producing are kicking off already. Not to worry, you all will be updated. But I have a company I just set up, it is called Rufina Entertainment and my vision and mission is to groom artists and correct certain anomalies going on in the movie industry. At the moment, we are planning to come up with a television series. Once we are done with the stage of concept development, which is the stage we are in now, we will hit the road running. But acting is my world and I a happy to be in it.”

Uche is happily married. Here’s what she said in an interview with Guardian about her husband:

“Combining Acting With Being A Wife
It is not easy, but because God blessed me with a husband that understands my career and also likes what I am doing, it is easier and encouraging too. My husband is my number one critic. He gives me notes about my performance and I find that encouraging.
