Tension as suspected herdsmen attack Benue community, kill 2, abduct one




Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, terrorizing elements of Benue State, have attacked the Yelwata neighborhood in Guma Native Authorities Space of the State.

DAILY POST gathered that the armed males who carried out the assault, on Saturday, butchered two residents and whisked one other one to unknown vacation spot.

A resident of the neighborhood, Mr Tarka mentioned the incident triggered stress within the space, stating that extra residents have been displaced.

When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO within the state, DSP Catherine Anene instructed our correspondent that the incident was but to be reported to the command.

The chairman of the native authorities, Caleb Aba, couldn’t be reached to touch upon the incident.

DAILY POST remembers that comparable incident occured within the Yelwata neighborhood on August 25 when about eight individuals the place killed, whereas others have been left injured.
