Suspected herdsmen kill Benue varsity student, three others

Armed males, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, have killed a 200-level pupil of the Benue State College, Makurdi, Mr. Japhet Toryila.

DAILY POST gathered that the coed was killed alongside different residents of Tom-ayin only a few kilometers away from Gbajimba, the hometown of Governor Samuel Ortom.

It was learnt that the coed, Mr. Japhet, who accomplished his semester exams lately, was an orphan who farms to offset his tuition.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Anene Sewuese Catherine, couldn’t be reached for remark as at press time.

Recall that Benue has been one of many worst hit states within the North Central following actions of armed suspected Fulani herdsmen.
