Salami disclosed that the Nigerian authorities accused Igboho of smuggling arms into Nigeria.

Talking with BBC Yoruba, the lawyer stated the Nigerian authorities additionally accused the liberty fighter of calling for secession and disturbing the nation.

Igboho was arrested at an airport in Cotonou, Benin Republic, on Monday evening.
