Stray Bullet Kills Female NSCDC Officer In Imo During Army, IPOB Shootout




A stray bullet has killed a feminine officer of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps in Imo State, Mrs Glory Nkwocha.


Nkwocha died from a stray bullet throughout a Thursday night time gun duel between mixed safety operatives and hoodlums in Orlu city.

In accordance with PUNCH, Nkwocha was at her home together with her household when the flying bullet hit her.

She was instantly rushed to the intensive care of the Federal Medical Heart, Owerri, the place she died on Friday.  

A supply mentioned, “The lady was together with her household on Thursday night time in Orlu when a stray bullet from the gun battle between safety males and gunmen hit her. She misplaced consciousness. It was tough taking her to a hospital that night time due to the panic nature of the setting.

“She was later taken to the emergency unit of the Federal Medical Heart, Owerri, the place docs battled in useless to serve her life. She died on Friday as a result of her case worsened by the point she was rushed to the hospital.”

The supply added, “Insecurity in Imo is getting out of palms. The lady left a really younger household. Her youngsters are younger and her husband is a younger man, too. The household may be very devastated. This demise may be very unlucky. She was a really form individual.”

When contacted, the spokesperson for the NSCDC within the state, Lowell Chimeziri, confirmed her demise.

Chimeziri mentioned the deceased’s corpse had been deposited in a morgue.

He disclosed that the command had launched an investigation to establish the bullet that hit her.

The spokesperson mentioned, “Sure, I can affirm it. A stray bullet hit her in Orlu on Thursday, and regrettably, she died in a hospital on Friday. Her stays had been deposited in a morgue. Now we have launched an investigation and in just a few days, we’ll make our findings public.”
