Sokoto youths stage protest, demand release of suspects arrested over Deborah’s murder

Some Muslim youths in Sokoto State, this morning Might 14, filed out of their numbers to demand the discharge of the 2 suspects arrested by the police in reference to the homicide of Deborah Samuel.

 

A scholar of Shehu Shagari Faculty of Schooling, Deborah was killed on Thursday, Might 12, over claims that she insulted Prophet Mohammed.

 

Armed with placards, the protesting youths had been seen shouting “Allahu Akbar” translated in English as ‘God is nice’.

 

The protest began on the roundabout of Zabira mall they usually marched by way of Gao-nama onwards flyover inside the state metropolis.
