Shehu Sani reacts as bandits abduct 73 students in Zamfara

Shehu Sani, forme Kaduna lawmaker has condemned the kidnap of scholars of Authorities secondary faculty in Kaya, Zamfara State.

DAILY POST reported that gunmen suspected to be bandits on Wednesday attacked a Secondary Faculty in Maradun Native Authorities Space of Zamfara State and kidnapped 73 college students.

Mohammed Shehu, Police Public Relations Officer confirmed that the assault was carried out on the college at about 11:22 am by numerous bandits.

He urged family members of the scholars to be affected person, including the Commissioner, Ayuba Elkanah had deployed search and rescue crew to work in synergy with the army to free the scholars.

Reacting, Sani described the information as tragic, whilst he condoled with the victims and their households.

The previous lawmaker on his Twitter web page wrote: “It’s tragic to listen to that 73 college students had been kidnapped from the Authorities Day Secondary Faculty Kaya in Maradun LG, Zamfara state.

“My ideas and prayers for the victims.”

Zamfara is among the states within the northern a part of Nigeria which has witnessed a surge in insecurity lately as bandits proceed to assault faculties and abduct college students for ransom.
