Restructuring, best for Nigeria if properly done – Dr Bugaje




A former Home of Representatives member, Dr Usman Bugaje has burdened the necessity for Nigerians to collectively agree on the sort of federation they need.

Talking at a summit organised by the Yoruba Management and Peace Initiative (TYLPI), with the theme, “Methods and Ways for the Actualisation of a Restructured Nigeria” on Wednesday in Ibadan, Bugaje defined that restructuring would be the smartest thing to occur within the nation if correctly completed by all sections of the nation.

He noticed that it’s solely a unsuitable notion that the North was in opposition to restructuring, saying that Northerners have been groaning beneath a horrible federal system operated in Nigeria.

Dr Bugaje acknowledged that the North is suffocating, affected by violence, lack of fine livelihood and extra eager for restructuring than another geopolitical zones within the nation.

He claimed the present construction was unsustainable such {that a} timeline was wanted to be set to restructure to the satisfaction of all Nigerians.

The previous lawmaker mentioned the current management’s recruitment mechanism into political events was defective, including that it can’t produce higher people.

Dr Bugaje mentioned the time has come for residents throughout all zones of the nation to fulfill at a roundtable, put their concepts collectively and arrive at a consensus on a restructuring of the present federation.
