Operatives of the Kano State Police command have deactivated a bomb planted in a bush at Aujirawa Alkali village within the state’s Gezawa Native Authorities Space.
In accordance with an announcement issued on Friday, police spokesperson Abdullahi Kiyawa mentioned the explosive, which was discovered within the early hours of Friday, was deactivated after the police had been alerted.
Kiyawa mentioned the explosive gadget was efficiently defused with technical tools, including that the realm is now secured.
He mentioned, “On receipt of the data, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, Mr Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, raised and instructed a workforce of Explosive Ordnance Disposal led by CSP Haruna Isma’il to maneuver to the scene.
“The workforce instantly swung into motion, after cordoning off the realm, an Improvised Explosive System was found.”
The residents have additionally been requested to report any suspicious motion or merchandise to the closest police station.
