Police confirm Ogbuagu’s rescue, intensify search for ​AVM Smith, RCCG pastor




The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the rescue of Kingsley Ogbuagu.

The youth was kidnapped in Lagos on Sunday on the Roman Catholic Church of Visitation in FESTAC City.

“The sufferer (Ogbuagu) kidnapped on Sunday twenty sixth September, 2021 has been rescued and reunited together with his household”, Adekunle Ajisebutu, police spokesman mentioned in a press release.

On rising abductions in Lagos, the command assured it’s working to make sure the security of lives and property.

Ajisebutu mentioned efforts are being intensified within the seek for AVM Sikiru Smith (Rtd) who was kidnapped on Tuesday in Ajah, and a RCCG Pastor taken at Dopemu-Agege.

He famous that operatives are “being tactical in order to not jeopardize the lives of the AVM and the pastor”.

The Pubic Relations Officer assured that the perpetrators of the acts can be apprehended.

Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu mentioned regardless of the “remoted incidents”, Lagos stays one of many most secure states in Nigeria.
