Police confirm a truckload of cows was set on fire in Anambra



The police has confirmed {that a} truckload of cows was set on fireplace alongside Ezinifite-Uga expressway in Aguata Native Authorities Space of Anambra State.


The incident occurred at about 8 a.m on Sunday Could 8. Police spokesperson within the state, Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed the assault in a press release, including that one suspect has been arrested in reference to the assault.


Mr Ikenga stated one Mohammed Lawan who was conveying the cattle, was rescued by the police alongside different occupants. He additionally revealed that solely the entrance of the truck was affected.


Lawan was conveying the livestock to Awarasi, Uga within the council space. Ikenga stated; 


“The command has rescued one Mohammed Lawan of Taraba State livestock inside Ezinifite and Uga expressway. The rescue was following a misery name at the moment, Could 8, at about 8 a.m. of suspected arson and cruelty to animals by gunmen”


Police operatives have been deployed to the world and normalcy has been restored within the troubled group.
