Police arrests three suspected fraudsters who pose as drivers and passengers in Lagos
Officers of the Fast Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three suspects for defrauding unsuspecting members of the general public whereas disguising as drivers and passengers.
The trio was intercepted by operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Security Corp (LNSC), in Opebi, Ikeja following a tip-off and handed over to the RRS.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects recognized as Dele Olawale ‘m’ aged 52, Remi Ogunleye ‘m’ aged 45 and Kole Akintunjoye ‘m’ aged 40, all reside in Ogun State however resume in Lagos every day to prey on unsuspecting passengers.
The gang, working in a Volkswagen Golf, with registration quantity KRD 998 DE act like complete strangers to at least one one other to disarm their sufferer. They perform their nefarious actions principally in Lagos Island, Lekki and Ikoyi.
The Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, has since transferred the case to the State Headquarters for additional investigations.
