Police arrest two suspected cattle rustlers in Ekiti

Operatives of the Ekiti State Police Command have arrested two suspected cattle rustlers who attacked herdsmen and made away with a cow. 

 

Spokesperson of the command, ASP Abutu Sunday, disclosed this in an announcement on Tuesday, Might 3. 

 

“On 30/4/2022 at about 14:30hrs, the Command obtained a misery name {that a} group of cattle rustlers got here to Ikole-Ekiti forest, attacked some herdsmen with harmful weapons and forcefully went away with a cow valued 5 hundred thousand naira (#500,000:00)” the assertion learn.

 

“Upon the receipt of the data, the Command mobilised a group of Speedy Response Squad (RRS) to the scene the place one Mohammed Mohammed ’22yrs’ and Yahu Bello ’42yrs’ have been arrested

 

Throughout interrogation, the suspected cattle rustlers confessed to the fee of the crime and led operatives to the home of the receiver of the rustled cow. The cow has been dismembered however the receiver sadly escaped arrest.
