Plateau monarch kidnapped by bandits who attacked his palace



A standard ruler in Plateau State, His Royal Highness, Aminu Derwan has been kidnapped by gunmen who attacked his palace in Panyam, Mangu Native Authorities Space of the state.


The gunmen numbering over 20,  took away Derwan, the district head of Panyam, after scaring residents with gunshots within the early hours of Monday June 20.


A resident of Panyam group, Moses Garuba instructed Punch; 


“It was final night time round midnight that the bandits, who had been greater than 20 and closely armed, surrounded the district head’s palace in Panyam.

“As a result of his home was not fenced, some villagers who noticed how his home was surrounded by unusual folks alerted different members of the group via a group bell. However instantly the bandits heard the bell, they began firing gunshots and finally went away with the standard ruler, leaving the group helpless.”


Some residents, who condemned the assault stated that the incident had been reported to the police division within the locality
