Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, Olowo of Owo Kingdom, joined ‘god of iron’ (Ogun) devotees on Thursday afternoon, June 16, to put curses on the gunmen who massacred parishioners at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo.

It could be recalled that armed males stormed the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state, on Sunday June sixth, taking pictures sporadically at worshippers, leaving no less than 38 worshippers lifeless and a rating of others severely injured.

The Nationwide Safety Council linked the assault to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and on Thursday, June 9, the Owo monarch introduced the arrest of the culprits.

Nevertheless, throughout the temporary ritual on Thursday, June 16, the worshipers, Olowo, and different ‘ogun’ devotees hurled ancestral curses on the criminals, believing that nemesis would meet up with them very quickly.

Footage and movies which were shared on-line present Olowo shifting to the positioning of invocation with Chief Dada Aderobagun, the Olu Ode of Owo Kingdom, performing the rituals that observe the raining of curses on the evil doers.

The Particular Assistant to the Olowo of Owo, Mr. Sam Adewale, defined that the assault on 127 worshippers necessitated the invocation of Ogun curses on perpetrators of the grotesque assault on the Owo group.
