Outrage as Enugu Police officer ‘beats up’ young lady at checkpoint [VIDEO]

A viral video has proven a police officer participating a younger girl in an altercation and bodily assault whereas on responsibility at a checkpoint in Obeagu Awkunanaw, alongside Agbani Street, within the State.

Reacting to the trending video, the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu stated the Command wouldn’t entertain such acts of “unprofessionalism by personnel underneath his watch”.

In a press release by the command’s spokesman, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, the Commissioner directed the State Prison Investigation and Intelligence Division (State CIID) to start speedy investigation and disciplinary sanction of the officer concerned within the assault.
