NUJ’s Zamfara Correspondents Chapel elects new Exco




The correspondent of Radio Nigeria Kaduna, Comrade Sani Haruna Dutsima, has emerged Chairman, Correspondents Chapel, Zamfara State council of the Nigeria union Journalists (NUJ) unopposed, Salisu Maradun withdrew from the competition.


Comrade Dutsema will pilot the affairs of the chapel for the following three years after which one other election shall be carried out.

On the vice chairmanship place, Comrade Shua’ibu Ibrahim polled a complete votes of 14 votes to defeat comrade Shehu Umar Yari who bought a complete of 8 votes whereas Comrade Ibrahim Gada of the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) defeated Ibrahim Mohammed Sidi with a complete of 18 votes to retain secretaryship.

Different members who emerged unopposed are Comrade Sanusi Mohammed of the Blue Print Newspaper who turned the chapel’s Treasurer whereas Comrade Husseini Yero retained his place because the Monetary Secretary.
