NSCDC gives strict warning to private guards operating in Jigawa




Nigeriain Safety and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has issued a strict warning to all personal guard firms working with out obligatory operational necessities.


This was said in an announcement by Jigawa State Command of the NSCDC, signed by its Public Relations Officer, SC Adamu Shehu, issued to DAILY POST.

He stated the command issued one-month ultimatum from 1st of April, 2021, to thirtieth, for all personal guard firms working within the State to meet the obligatory operational necessities or danger closure.

“The command noticed with dismay that some personal guards firms are working within the state with out obligatory coaching to its personnel,” he said.

He stated this was according to NSCDC Act 2007 as amended, that empowered the Corps to observe and supervise the actions of Non-public Guard Firms as said in Part 3(1) subsection (b), (c) and (d).

The Command enjoined all operators within the State to validate their licenses, avail guards for coaching, Open State Operational places of work, and fulfill all different written operational pointers as enshrined within the PGC Act.

Adamu stated the choice turned vital with a view to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the businesses, result in professionalism, and instill public confidence.
