Nnamdi Kanu reacts to claims by police that IPOB is planning to attack Lagos




The Ogun State Judicial Panel of Investigation on Police Brutality, Human Rights Violations and Further Judicial Killings stated it had handled 58 petitions inside its six months interval.

The panel sitting on the Justice of the Peace Courtroom 1, Isabo, Abeokuta, disclosed that it ended its sittings on the finish of April.

The Panel Chairman, Justice Solomon Olugbemi (rtd), in an announcement made accessible to DAILY POST on Monday by the panel media particular person, Femi Osipitan, stated “the panel acquired a complete of 106 petitions.”

Out of the 106 petitions, “58 had been handled and the remaining 48 had been both withdrawn, rejected or deserted wholly or half-way by the petitioners,” it was learnt.

Justice Olugbemi knowledgeable that some petitions had been rejected as a result of they weren’t in step with the phrases of reference given to the panel by the state authorities.

The Chairman assured all petitioners and respondents of justice with out concern or favour.

It could be recalled that the Panel was inaugurated on October 19, 2020 by Governor Dapo Abiodun and was given a six-month interval to obtain and examine petitions from members of the general public, whose human rights have been violated by safety personnel throughout the state and likewise to make acceptable suggestions to authorities.
