NIS apologises for shortage of passport booklets

Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has apologized to Nigerians for the scarcity of passport booklets.
The Comptroller Common, Mohammed Babandede on Wednesday introduced that the problem has been resolved and passport booklets can be found for distribution.
He appealed to passport candidates to train persistence as passport workplaces type out pending orders.
Babandede mentioned this on Wednesday on the launch of the Maitama Passport Categorical Centre (MPEC)
He mentioned: “We acknowledge and apologize for the challenges confronted up to now few weeks concerning passport booklets availability.
“I’m glad to tell you that booklets at the moment are out there and are being distributed to all our passport issuing centres.
“We, due to this fact, attraction for little extra persistence from passport candidates to allow the passport workplaces to clear the pending backlog.“
