Nigerians In Libya Lament Inhumane Treatment, Allege Officials Break Into Homes, Dump Them In Prison

Some Nigerian nationals in Libya have cried out for assist after authorities officers raided their varied homes.

In a video shared by Igbere TV, a Nigerian woman who claimed she lives in Tripoli accused the Libyan authorities of sending safety operatives to interrupt into the homes of Nigerians and different African nationals, and dumping them in jail.



She pleaded with the Nigerian authorities to come back to their rescue as they’re afraid they might die in jail.

Within the video shared, the girl mentioned on October 1, which is Nigeria’s Independence Day, safety operatives invaded houses unleashing mayhem on the individuals. 

She mentioned: “We’d like the assistance of the Nigerian authorities. Have a look at what they’re doing to us. They’ll simply break into the homes of Nigerians, Ghanaians, and different African nationals, they arrest you and dump you inside jail.

“In addition they arrested pregnant ladies and their kids and dumped them inside jail. Nigerian authorities ought to come to our rescue, please.

“If it was that they arrested these individuals and so they deported them to Nigeria or their respective international locations, it will have been higher, however they do not do this. For 3 days now, we have not left our homes, we’re scared, please assist us.”

Recall that in August, the Nigerian Mission in Tripoli mentioned it was evacuating 100 Nigerians stranded in Libya, with one other set of 100 stranded Nigerians to be returned residence within the subsequent 10 days.
