Nigeria is better with conditions met – Keyamo returns to Twitter



Festus Keyamo, the Minister for Labour and Employment has acknowledged that Nigeria is a greater nation after Twitter met its circumstances.

Keyamo stated this whereas calling out those that prioritized politics over patriotism following Twitter suspension.

Recall that the Nigerian authorities suspended Twitter in June 2021 shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet was deleted.

The microblogging web site was given circumstances to fulfill by the Federal Authorities earlier than the suspension could be lifted.

On January thirteenth, the ban on Twitter was lastly lifted in Nigeria after Twitter met the circumstances.

In line with the Chairman Technical Committee Nigeria-Twitter Engagement and Director-Normal Nationwide Info Know-how Improvement Company (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, the approval was given following a memo written to the President by Minister of Communications and Digital Financial system, Isa Ali Ibrahim.


Keyamo, alongside another authorities officers, who had been away from Twitter instantly after the ban was positioned, has returned.

The Minister in his first tweet wrote: “For many who prioritized politics over patriotism and exhibited disingenuous righteousness on Twitter suspension, they will now see that with all of the FG circumstances to which Twitter agreed, Nigeria is finally higher off for it.

“Congratulations Nigeria.”

In the meantime, some Nigerians have urged that the federal government lifted suspension on Twitter within the nation due to the 2023 elections with the intention to be within the good books of the residents.
