Nigeria @61: Omo-Agege preaches oneness, patriotism from Nigerians




As Nigeria commemorates 61 years of self-governance, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has known as for oneness and renewed patriotism from all Nigerians.

In his Independence message, Senator Omo-Agege mentioned Nigerians should unite behind the nationwide flag, put aside the narrative of division, violence and hate, and change them with the narrative of peace and unity.

The Deputy President of the Senate careworn that the nation would surmount its current challenges and emerge stronger.

The Delta Central lawmaker harped on the necessity for residents to exhibit unity and love in the direction of each other to attain a greater society.

He mentioned: “Independence anniversary not solely affords us a possibility to present because of God for preserving us regardless of the challenges but additionally a time to mirror on how we, as residents and leaders, can contribute to strengthening our nation, uphold peace and concord and embrace the widespread humanity that shines so brilliantly by means of our range.

“Though we’re passing by means of a myriad of challenges, nothing is insurmountable if we set our minds to it. With our never-say-never angle, we will surmount our current challenges.

“I name on all Nigerians to resume religion with Nigeria as we commemorate one other Independence anniversary”.

Omo-Agege who chairs the Senate Committee on the Evaluation of the 1999 Structure, revealed that the panel’s report could be introduced anytime quickly.

He mentioned the main target of the Committee is handle the train in a good, inclusive and clear method to fulfill the expectations of most Nigerians.

“We’ve made far-reaching suggestions on the 17 thematic areas underneath evaluation. Very quickly, our report could be introduced for consideration,” he mentioned.
