NCDC: Ihekweazu’s WHO appointment, a great loss to Nigeria – Okonjo-Iweala

The Director-Normal of the World Commerce Organisation, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has reacted to the appointment of the pinnacle of Nigeria Centre for Illness Management (NCDC), Chikwe Ihekweazu as a high official.

Ihekweazu was appointed by WHO as its Assistant Director-Normal for Well being Emergency Intelligence.

The NCDC DG is about to renew November 1 and can lead the work on strengthening pandemic and epidemic intelligence globally.

Ihekweazu will oversee the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence in Berlin, Germany.

Reacting, Okonjo-Iweala congratulating Ihekweazu and stated his appointment is a superb alternative however a giant loss to Nigeria.

On her verified Twitter web page, the WTO DG wrote: “Congratulations to @Chikwe_I, @WHO, @DrTedros.
