The Nationwide Examinations Council has debunked the declare that its registrar, Godswill Obioma, was assassinated.
Based on a report by Vanguard, the Director, Human assets of NECO, Abdul Mustapha, who confirmed the dying of the NECO boss, stated he died in his sleep on account of coronary heart failure.
Mustapha forwarded communication from Obioma’s second son, Prince Godswill Obioma, informing him of the dying of his father thus:
“Mustapha Ok. Abdul (Director Human Useful resource Administration, NECO).
“Pricey sir, that is to formally inform you that my father, Prof. Godswill Obioma, the Registrar/Chief Govt of NECO, handed to everlasting glory yesterday, 31/5/2021, after a quick sickness.
“We request that you simply kindly notify the Board, Administration and the whole workers of the council of this growth.
“We will maintain you duly knowledgeable.
“Prince Godswill Obioma the 2nd, for the household.”
The discharge of the dialog between the deceased’s son and Mustapha contradicted an earlier report alleging that the NECO boss was assassinated in his Minna residence by some unknown gunmen.
Though the report quoted his spouse, Elizabeth Obioma, as saying unknown gunmen assassinated her husband.
