The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, mentioned harmful driving, not dangerous roads, was the reason for most accidents.
He referred to as for the evaluation of the freeway codes to make sure stiffer penalties for highway visitors offenders.
Amaechi spoke in Abuja on Thursday on the Easter mega rally organised by the Federal Highway Security Corps (FRSC).
Amaechi assured that the ministry and the FRSC would work collectively to make sure that the legal guidelines had been reviewed.
He mentioned when that is achieved, those that overload their car, drive whereas drunk or drive recklessly, will probably be extra cautious.
“Most accidents you see at present will not be brought on by dangerous roads however the recklessness of the drivers on the roads.
