Many individuals have been reportedly killed and outlets belonging to Igbo merchants had been set ablaze throughout a conflict between merchants and industrial motorcyclists at Dei Dei market in Abuja.

 

The struggle reportedly began following an accident that led to the loss of life of an Igbo girl.

 

Based on stories, the girl was a passenger on a industrial motorbike when she was crushed by a truck, allegedly because of the recklessness of the motorcyclist carrying her.

 

The lady died whereas being rushed to the hospital and this induced merchants within the space to go after the motorcyclist carrying her when the accident occured.

 

The person’s motorbike was set ablaze after they caught up with him.

 

This led to a reprisal assault from motorcyclists within the space.

They blocked the expressway, attacked motorists, and burnt the outlets and vehicles of the merchants who promote constructing supplies on the Dei Dei Worldwide Timber Market.
