Man to die by hanging in Ogun for killing wife’s suspected lover

Justice Patricia Oduniyi of an Aiyetoro Excessive Court docket in Ogun state has sentenced one, Adelake Bara, to dying by hanging for taking pictures and killing one Olaleye Oke, who he accused of getting illicit affairs with one among his three wives

Delivering judgment within the case in the present day June 20, Justice Oduniyi held that the prosecution had proved its case past affordable doubt that Bara was responsible of the cost. She held that Bara contravened the Prison Code of Ogun and convicted him on a one-count cost of homicide.

Throughout the trial, state prosecuting counsel, Miss T.O Adeyemi, a Senior State Counsel stated that the convict dedicated the offense on Might 1, 2018, at about 6 p.m., at Afodan Farm Settlement, Ijoun, in Aiyetoro space of Ogun.

Adeyemi stated that the deceased was on his farm when Bara met him and accused him of getting a love affair with one among his wives.

“Bara who has three wives introduced out a gun and shot Oke within the head, whereas the latter was making an attempt to elucidate that he had no affair with any of Bara’s wives as accused,’’ she stated

The counsel stated the gunshot to Oke’s head led to his dying.
