Lawless Policemen Disrupt #EndSARS Symposium In Enugu, Destroy Materials



The police in Enugu State, on Wednesday, swooped on contributors at an #EndSARS one-year anniversary symposium.

In line with Nigerian Tribune, the police, who got here in a number of vans, entered the Centre for Monument on Awgu Avenue, Independence Structure, Enugu, the venue of the symposium and began harassing the contributors.

The policemen afterwards ejected the contributors.

The memorial symposium was put collectively by the Community of Civil Society Organisations in Enugu State to commemorate the reported killings of harmless Nigerians through the EndSARS protest towards police brutality in Nigeria.

In line with comrade Chukwudi Anachuna, the chairman of the Community of CSOs in Enugu, the police had invaded the venue in a WhatsApp message he shared.

“Our gathering has been disrupted by the police. The youth who wished to withstand had been attacked and a few had been even arrested. A few of our supplies had been additionally taken away,” he mentioned.

In the meantime, the police within the state couldn’t be reached instantly for affirmation.
