Lagos Panel Ends Sitting Two Days To #EndSARS Memorial Protest



The Lagos State judicial panel probing circumstances of human rights abuses by officers of the Particular Anti-Theft Squad and different associated issues within the state has ended its sitting.

The panel, which must have ended its sitting on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, had its ultimate sitting on Monday because of the public vacation scheduled for tomorrow.


It was earlier reported that the panel awarded N148.2million as compensation to 23 extra petitioners because it wound down proceedings after sitting for a 12 months because the inauguration on October 19, 2020.

N262million had beforehand been awarded to 47 petitioners prior to now which made it a complete N410million.

In the course of the Lekki taking pictures, Justice Doris Okuwobi (rtd) mentioned although proof had been concluded on the matter, the panel was but to write down out its ultimate determination. She assured the petitioners that the panel would guarantee justice within the matter.
