Kwara NSCDC conducts forensic psychological assessment of armed personnel

Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has performed forensic psychological evaluation and analysis for its armed personnel.

The train was designed to find out the armed personnel’s psychological standing and health.

Spokesman of the defence corps, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, in Ilorin, stated the evaluation turned crucial so as to mitigate the misuse of firearms and instances of unintended discharge by the arms bearers.

“The Commandant Normal, Ahmed Audi, directed the Forensic and Behavioral Unit, NSCDC, nationwide headquarters, Abuja, to hold out the train throughout all of the 36 state instructions with the goal of assessing their forensic and psychological health stage so as to keep away from any misuse of firearms by the personnel,” Babawale acknowledged.

The Head of NSCDC Forensic and Behavioral Unit, Abuja, Dr Teeso Shapers, who performed the train, stated it was a proactive measure to forestall unprofessional use of firearms by the personnel.

The forensic unit is saddled with duties which embrace criminals nap, psychological profiling of suspects, professional witness testimony and forensic evaluation of bodily digital and pc proof.
