Konshisha killings: HURIWA warns COAS, Attahiru against human rights abuse




The Human Rights Writers Affiliation of Nigeria, HURIWA has condemned the alleged army invasion of the Konshisha Group in Benue State which led to the alleged killing of residents and destruction of properties.


HURIWA additionally condemned the killing of troops by members of the group which triggered the invasion.

The human rights writers, in an announcement made accessible to DAILY POST on Friday, warned the Chief of Military Workers, Lieutenant Common Attahiru Ibrahim in opposition to abusing the rights of residents.

Based on HURIWA, if the Military Chief should achieve his tenure, he should prioritize the rights of residents who he was employed to guard.

DAILY POST had reported that following the killing of about 10 troopers by members of the group, the Nigerian Military allegedly invaded the world, killing over 70 residents and setting the complete group ablaze.

Reacting, HURIWA stated it was primitive and unconstitutional for the army to hold out revenge assaults in such a approach that “over three dozen utterly harmless folks have been reportedly slaughtered for offences they know nothing about”.

HURIWA stated, “the Navy below the democratic setting is ruled by constitutional norms.
