The Zamfara State Authorities has disclosed that the killing of a distinguished Fulani chief in 2013 was the Genesis of the disaster bedevilling the state which has led to the lack of lives and property within the state.
The Commissioner for Info, Zamfara State, Hon Ibrahim Magaji Dosara on Friday, disclosed this in Kaduna whereas interacting with newsmen.
In response to him, ”The Genesis of this battle started with the killing of the preferred and extremely revered Fulani chief in all of the neighbouring states of Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kebbi, one Alhaji Ishe, of chilin village in Kuyambana district of Dansadau Emirate in Maru Native Authorities Space of the state on the eleventh of April, 2013.
“Since then, Fulani within the 3 states turned aggrieved and aggressive towards Hausa communities from the place the Yansakai who did the killing emanate,” he stated.
The Commissioner added that the disaster started to worsen by the day by means of waves of assaults.
