Kidnapped NYSC members, others regain freedom



Two Nationwide Youth Service Corps members and 4 different Benue residents, who have been not too long ago kidnapped in Zamfara State, have regained their freedom.

In a press release issued on Wednesday morning by Jimin Geoffrey, the Social media aide to Governor Samuel Ortom, the event adopted the collaborative efforts of the state authorities, Benue Hyperlinks administration, and the households of victims.

Jennifer Awashima Iorliam and Joseph Zakaa have been the NYSC members kidnapped on their strategy to Gusau, Zamfara State capital.


Others embody Sedoo Kondo, an undergraduate of Usman Dan Fodio College, Sokoto, on her strategy to college, Ruth Sesuur Tsokar, who was visiting a relative in Kebbi and two brothers, Muhammadu Saminu and Safiam Muhammadu who have been on their strategy to Sokoto State, along with the corps members touring in a Benue Hyperlinks car. All of them ended up within the kidnappers’ den.

Messrs Iorliam and Zakaa who had been posted to Kebbi State for the NYSC program have been on their strategy to the orientation camp.

In line with the assertion, the victims have been launched at about 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Geoffrey, nevertheless, didn’t state whether or not ransom was paid previous to their freedom.
