JUSUN: Judiciary workers end two-month strike

The Judiciary Employees Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), suspended its two-month-old strike on Wednesday.

The commenced an industrial motion on April 6, days after Resident Docs downed instruments.

JUSUN is demanding the monetary independence of the judiciary on the federal and state ranges.

In Might 2020, President Muhammadu Buhari signed an Govt Order that granted monetary autonomy to the judiciary.

The legislation permits the Accountant-Basic of the Federation to deduct from supply, any quantity resulting from state legislatures and judiciaries from the month-to-month allocation.

However many state governments for shunned the order, forcing JUSUN to take the choice to close courts nationwide.
