June 12: Police assure Lagos residents of safety, warn troublemakers




The Lagos State Police Command has assured residents of satisfactory safety of lives and property on Saturday June 12.


There are fears that Lagos shall be shut down for the June 12 Democracy Day Celebration.

Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, mentioned that industrial and social actions will go on as regular.

An announcement he signed famous that the command isn’t conscious of any deliberate protest nor curfew.

The spokesman warned these may need to foment troubles to steer clear.

“Anybody caught participating in any act able to inflicting breakdown of order will face the complete wrath of the regulation.”

Adejobi suggested members of the general public to ignore any rumoured sit-at-home order, lock down of markets and whole paralysis of financial and social actions.

“It’s a mere mischievous hearsay and calculated try and create fears within the minds of Lagosians and disrupt the peaceable ambiance in Lagos State”, he famous.

The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, charged the individuals to go about their lawful companies.
