The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it’s fraudulent for Governor Seyi Makinde of the state to spend N5.3 billion on renovating a stadium already leaking.

APC made this disclosure whereas reacting to the commissioning of Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

Our correspondent remembers that the stadium, which was rehabilitated with a sum of N5.3 billion, was commissioned on Wednesday.

APC has nonetheless alleged that the reworking of the stadium is a rip-off.

Performing Publicity Secretary of APC, Dr. AbdulAzeez Olatunde, on Thursday described the work completed on the stadium as shoddy work.

Olatunde stated the rain has solely uncovered the weak point of the venture.

He added that it was unlucky that the stadium renovated with such an sum of money can be leaking on the day of commissioning.
