Iragbiji bank robbery: Osun govt consoles families of slain police inspectors

The Osun State Authorities has condoled the households of cops killed by armed robbers in Iragbiji on Tuesday.

Recall that on Tuesday, some armed robbers attacked a business financial institution and police divisional headquarters in Iragbiji, the headquarters of Boripe Native Authorities Space, leaving two cops useless.

In an announcement on Wednesday, the command stated the 2 officers, Inspector Adebiyi Hammed and Inspector Odeyemi Ayinla, misplaced their lives within the theft.

Talking through the condolence visits to the relations of the deceased, the Particular Adviser to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Safety, Abiodun Ige, expressed heartfelt condolences of the Governor and the federal government to their households.

Ige, who led the delegation on the go to to Iragbiji and Osogbo, the place the households of the deceased reside, described the incident as most unlucky and disheartening.

She stated the Oyetola administration would proceed to do the needful to ensure the safety of the individuals and guarantee security for all.

Ige condoled with the deceased’s households to take solace in God as their family members ended their lives in the middle of service to humanity and their fatherland.

She stated: “We’re right here on behalf of the Governor and his authorities to precise our condolences over the sudden deaths of the gallant officers who misplaced their lives to the unlucky theft incident at Iragbiji yesterday.

“We have been despatched by Authorities to return and condole you. We don’t know the way and why it occurred however God is aware of it.

“As a authorities, we’re very pained; we’re involved and touched, and we equally shared in your pains in the intervening time. It’s our prayer that such unlucky circumstances won’t reoccur in our state.”

The delegation visited members of the households of the deceased in Iragbiji and Osogbo respectively.
