IPOB Members Sending Me Death Threats – BBC Reporter Cries Out




A British Broadcasting Company Igbo reporter, Obiejesi Chukwunaeme Kingsley, has alleged that some memebers of the Indigenous Individuals of Biafra (IPOB) are after his life as a result of he was reporting what they didn’t like.

Kingsley disclosed this on his Fb web page on Thursday including that he was acquainted with such demise threats being a journalist.

Although he didn’t point out the pro-Biafra separatist group by its title, he indicated by what the members use which is ‘Umu Chineke.’

Kingsley wrote, “As a journalist working with BBC Igbo Service, I’m not new to demise threats. Myself and my colleagues get demise threats each day. Generally it hurts, however most occasions I snicker it off.

“The attention-grabbing factor is that the folks that threaten to kill me and my colleagues, are the identical folks that consult with themselves as “Ụmụ Chineke” or “ụmụ Chukwu okike Abiama”. Is it not humorous?

“I’m not allowed to hitch points with these demise mongers, however each time I see the threats, I reply in my coronary heart: “My title is Chukwunaeme. Ejirọ ọnwụ eyi m egwu.”
