IPMAN alerts FG as private depot owners increase fuel price

The Kano State chapter of the Unbiased Petroleum Entrepreneurs Affiliation of Nigeria, IPMAN, on Friday, alerted the Federal Authorities to the approaching gas disaster within the nation following the choice by some personal depot homeowners to independently improve the costs of the product.

Alhaji Bashir Danmallam, the IPMAN Chairman, Kano chapter, acknowledged this in a press release issued on Friday.

Danmallam stated among the personal depot homeowners had elevated the worth of gas from N148 per litre to between N153 and N155 per litre since final week.

In line with him, the affiliation discovered it essential to alert the federal government so as to not blame its members in the event that they improve the worth of gas as they’d not function at a loss.

The assertion learn, “Some personal depot homeowners are attempting to sabotage the Federal Authorities by unilaterally rising their costs despite the fact that the federal government has not raised the gas pump worth.

“We’re equally calling on the Administration of the NNPC to research the difficulty as among the personal depot homeowners have since Friday final week elevated the worth from N148 per litre to between N153 and N155 per litre. We all know it’s only the Federal Authorities that imports gas into the nation.

“As I’m speaking to you, personal depot homeowners in Warri, Calabar Lagos and Oghara in Delta State have elevated their costs. We hope the administration of the NNPC will examine and intervene.”
